In fact, studies have shown that patients receiving NeuroStar TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) are more responsive to other treatment modalities during and after their NeuroStar TMS treatment. Continuing therapy during this time is very important. Referring providers are encouraged to consult and coordinate with our providers regarding their patient's progress and care.

At Tranquility TMS Center, we offer informational meetings for Health Care Providers and their patients. These provide an opportunity for patients to learn more about NeuroStar TMS, see the treatment equipment and facility, meet previous NeuroStar TMS patients, and hear patient testimonials about their NeuroStar TMS experience. How to Make a Referral
Once you have decided NeuroStar TMS Treatment would be beneficial to your patient, the patient may contact our office at 210-509-6000 to begin the referral process. The patient will schedule a consultation with Dr. Martin to determine whether NeuroStar TMS is an appropriate treatment option for them. This consultation is a comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluation, 90 minutes in duration, and the patient will be responsible for the fee associated with this appointment. If Dr. Martin does prescribe NeuroStar TMS for the patient, our staff will consult with the patient about the financial options available to them.
During the 8-week treatment course, Dr. Martin will meet with the patients to monitor their response to NeuroStar TMS. The patient will be expected to continue their regular medication management and psychotherapy appointments with their primary psychiatric care providers during the NeuroStar TMS treatment course. It is important that any changes in the patient's medications be communicated to Dr. Martin and the TMS Clinical Coordinators. The patient will complete self-reported rating scales before, during, and after their course of treatment. Our staff will coordinate the exchange of information regarding the patients NeuroStar TMS progress with the referring physician. After the patient completes NeuroStar TMS treatment, they will continue to see their referring physician for therapy and medication management.
